System for receiving people with disability
SPECIAL REDUCTIONS FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY
To qualify for the special rates, listed below, visitors are required to have a "unified European disability card" (CUDE - an example of which can be found at the end of this page) which has been issued in compliance with the law (please consult the information provided on the Municipality of Venice website). It is mandatory to present this card at the garage entrance and leave it clearly visible on the dashboard when parking.
CANDIANI CAR PARK
Parking is free of charge exclusively on the specifically reserved parking spaces (4 parking spaces are available on level -1), which are marked with special vertical and horizontal markers. Free parking applies only for the first day (dedicated parking spaces are always available in the number guaranteed by law). Any parking outside the reserved parking spaces is subject to standard transit charges (hourly or daily) depending on the duration of the parking period.
ENTRANCE AND ALLOCATION OF A PARKING SPACE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY TICKET OR TELEPASS
Admission to the car park is possible either by collecting a ticket or by using your Telepass device.
In order to benefit from free parking, drivers using a vehicle that is equipped with a Telepass device enabled to pay for car park services have the following options:
- block or remove the device from the vehicle and then access the car park by collecting an entrance ticket;
- access the car park using their Telepass device and then communicate the serial number of their Telepass device and the vehicle's licence plate to the staffed ticket office before they leave the facility.
It is mandatory to park your vehicle in the 4 reserved parking spaces on level -1.
In order to benefit from free parking, immediately report to the staffed ticket offices once you have parked your vehicle in the reserved parking spaces of the car park and:
- present a valid disability card in original form (not a copy);
- communicate the number of the parking space you have used, the model and licence plate of your vehicle;
Otherwise, users are required to pay the ordinary entrance and parking rates.
TERMINATION OF THE PARKING STAY
Before leaving the car park with their vehicle, users are required to return to the staffed ticket office and request the cancellation of the parking fee or the payment of any balance, which will be paid, depending on the method of access, either directly at the staffed ticket office (with validation of the exit ticket), or by charging the user's Telepass account.
PARK COSTA
Parking is free of charge exclusively on the specifically reserved parking spaces (8 parking spaces are available, which are distributed two for each parking bay), which are marked with special vertical and horizontal markers. Any parking outside the reserved parking spaces is subject to standard transit charges (hourly or daily) depending on the duration of the parking period. The number of parking spaces currently available is displayed at the entrance to the car park.
ENTRANCE AND ALLOCATION OF A PARKING SPACE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY
Users are required to collect the ordinary entry ticket upon entry (for Telepass clients, please read what is specified below). The disability card must be visibly displayed on the dashboard of the vehicle during parking in order to allow the designated staff to perform inspections.
ENTRANCE WITH VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH A TELEPASS DEVICE
When you approach the ticket machine, slow down almost to a halt (without collecting an entrance ticket) to allow the access system to identify the Telepass device installed in the vehicle and to authorise transit. In order to make sure that the cost of parking is not charged to your Telepass account, contact the staff on duty before collecting your car and request cancellation of the parking fee, making sure to provide the serial number of your Telepass device and to show them your disability card in original form (not a copy).
TERMINATION OF THE PARKING STAY
In order to claim the fee exemption, the beneficiary - before leaving the car park - is required to provide the facility staff (who can be contacted at the help points on the various floors) with the disability card in original together with the ticket collected at the entrance and communicate the number of the parking space that has been used. The facility staff will use the automatic ticket machine to void the ticket fee and validate it for the exit and give it back to the client to leave the car park.
