TERMS OF USE OF LOCAL PUBLIC TRANSPORT

On urban and suburban tram and bus networks, tickets must be purchased and activated at least 3 minutes before boarding. Any purchase or activation on board is punishable under Regional Law 25/98.

Tickets that are exclusively for bus/tram service (extra-urban bus tickets and urban bus tickets - not valid for waterborne services) become valid three minutes after activation. To access waterborne services, or where there are access gates (turnstiles), it is necessary to scan the dynamic QR Code (which changes every 30 seconds) generated in the app at the time of activation on the appropriate reader (it is recommended to set the screen brightness to maximum) as described below:

  •     Press the QR code button on the validator screen.
  •     Place the phone on the validator base with the code facing up.
  •     Wait for the successful reading message (green screen with the date and expiration of the ticket).

Please note that after pressing the button to activate the QR code reader, the card reader is disabled for 10 seconds.

ATTENTION: Any deviation from the above instructions may result in accidental transactions of payment cards virtualized on the device. The company is not responsible for any accidental charges.

The use of printed QR codes (or other media) or transfers via screenshot to other devices is not allowed.

Tickets purchased through the app can only be used on the device with which the purchase was made, cannot be transferred to other accounts, and cannot be used on the Venezia Unica card if registered (and vice versa). If the customer needs to transfer the tickets purchased through the app—an option available only for monthly/annual subscriptions—to their Venezia Unica card, they must notify customer support in advance using the dedicated webform linked within the profile section of the app. Transferring tickets from the app to the Venezia Unica card will result in the migration of all purchased tickets.

The purchase receipt generated after the transaction does not constitute a valid travel ticket.

To access local public transport services, it is mandatory to activate, retain, and display the corresponding QR code, which can only be viewed on the device used to make the purchase.

In the absence of an active QR code, the passenger will be considered without a valid ticket and subject to the applicable penalties.

The expiration of the Venezia Unica card, inclusion on the blacklist, or request for deletion of personal data provided for the card issuance, results in the inability to purchase discounted tickets dedicated to Venezia Unica cardholders.

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure data connectivity and the proper functioning of the mobile device for the entire duration of the journey to display the validated electronic ticket on the mobile device upon request by the control personnel and to verify that the purchased ticket is valid and suitable for the used route. Failure to present the ticket due to malfunction of the mobile device results in the same consequences and penalties for irregularities in travel tickets as provided in the General Transport Conditions, available on www.avmspa.it and www.actv.it. App malfunctions do not exempt the customer from paying for the ticket, which must be purchased through alternative sales channels http://actv.avmspa.it/en/content/points-sale-1 .

Customers who need an invoice for the Actv public transport service must expressly request it exclusively through the webform in the "CUSTOMER SERVICES" section of the AVM/Actv website.

AVM will only refund purchases or amounts improperly charged if a charge occurred due to an erroneous transaction processing attributable to the payment system and according to the general transport conditions and the mobility charter regarding refunds and compensations: in no case will refunds be issued for purchased, activated, and unused or partially used tickets.

NB: No invoices are issued for electronic wallet recharges.

AVM/Actv, in accordance with the provision from the Italian Revenue Agency (Prot. no. 354629/2023), titled "Communication to the Tax Register of data regarding expenses for the purchase of subscriptions to local, regional, and interregional public transport services pursuant to Article 1 of the Ministerial Decree of the Minister of Economy and Finance of March 29, 2023," will transmit data related to subscriptions purchased* for the portion paid with traceable payment methods to the Revenue Agency.

Opposition to the data transmission can be submitted to AVM by December 31 of the year of purchase, using the form available at the following link: AVM Opposition.

After this deadline, from January 1 to March 16 of the following year, opposition must be submitted directly to the Revenue Agency using the PDF opposition form, which can be sent via email to: opposizioneutilizzospesetrasporto@agenziaentrate.it.
